Our Recommendation Tips

For this up-coming Valentine day, why not make your own pastries for your love ones?
Here is some tips on how to D.I.Y - Simple Sweets "Apple" for your very own special guy or girl.

Finding a good spot or restaurant to have dinner or time with her/him? We have the recommendation. We recommend you restaurants, chill out spot and dating spot that you and your love one can spent on a romantic night during Valentine day.


D.I.Y Simple Sweet "Apple"

Toffee Apples:
Time for Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients:
15 small red apples (very crisp)
4 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
3 teaspoons red food colouring

Step by Step:
1. Line a 32 x 28 cm oven tray with foil. Brush the foil with melted butter or oil.
2. Wipe the apples thoroughly with a clean, dry towel. Push a wooden ice-cream stick into the stem of each apple.
3. Combine sugar and water in a large, heavy-based pan. Stir over medim heat without boiling until sugar has completely dissolved. Brush crystals from side of pan with a wet pastry brush. Add the cream of tartar and food colouring. Bring to the boil, reduce heat slightly, boil without stirring for about 15 minutes
4. Twist apples, one at a time, into the syrup. This is to coat it shown in the picture.
5. Drain and place the apple on to the baking tray. Leave it at room tempreature to hardern the coating of sugar.
6. Wrap the apples with simple wrapping and tie it with a ribbon. Toffee apples can keep up to 2 days. A good item to D.I.Y for your love ones if you intend to prepare early.
